Instead of hanging out in Dave's house for a bit after our D&D sessions, we just talk a bit via internet chat.

Dave's girlfriend is currently on unemployment, and they're worried about when that'll run out. Dave installs doors and windows and is thinking about starting up his own business, but they want to figure out something for his girlfriend and also see what the climate looks like post-COVID. Now seems too dicey.

Jeff works in a print shop—not paper printing but everything printing—and they've stayed open, he just has to wear a mask while he's working. And thank God, he finally got his license in February, so he no longer has to take the bus to work. His wife, who's definitely in a high-risk demographic, can no longer work from home. She has to go in to her cubicle next week.

And then there's my bullshit place of employment. I could have to go in at any time.

I was thinking today about just how many similar conversations are happening every day out there.

It's got to be billions. A number I can't even fully conceptualize.

    Please love yourself.

May you live in interesting times.

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

It is tough. I realize how lucky I am. Things are as "stable" as possible, but I see and hear of so many others with problems and major concerns. Makes mine look very small.
