In 1987 we went to visit our across-the-street neighbors at their summer home in Sheboygan, MI. Our neighbor was a pilot, and he owned a twin engine plane and offered to take us for an aerial view of Mackinac Island.
I was in the right-hand seat, Mrs. George and D1 were in the back. We taxied onto the runway, and as we accelerated for takeoff, my door flew open. I guess i had not latched it properly. We were able to abort before V1, and we latched the door and resumed our tour.
