    https://jonathanturley.org/2023/10/27/release-of-bowman-video-contradicts-his-account-to-congress-the-court-and-the-public/

Bowman has insisted in Congress and court that he was confused and thought that the door (closed for any purpose other than an emergency) would open if he pulled the fire alarm. The video, however, shows Bowman not only taking the emergency sign off the door but never stopping or looking back as he pulled the alarm. There was not even a glance back to see if the door opened. Instead, he quickly walks away with the sign.

Bowman may not have been motivated by delaying the vote, but the videotape does not suggest that he was trying to open the door. It may have been motivated by the same urge as students in schools (like the one Bowman used to oversee) to cause chaos or to vent.

Bowman has insisted “I don’t know why this has gotten so much attention,. I was literally just in a rush to go vote, man! That’s all it was!”

Yet, Bowman never looks at the door, let alone tries to open the door, after pulling the alarm.

@George-K Wow!!!! Vote him and REp. Santos both out.

Santos might well survive the current term despite his legal woes. After that, I'm sure he's done, from a legislative standpoint. The Democrats really dropped the ball doing background work on this guy - so much ammo to tank his campaign with, and they didn't look for it. They wrongly assumed that he'd lose and didn't work hard in his district, which hasn't elected a Republican in 10 years.

Bowman is a shoe-in forever. His district hasn't elected a Republican since....1945. It is the home of Chuck Schumer, Adam Clayton Powell, Charlie Rangel and others.

      He could get primaried.

They’ll end up, after a lot of drama, with the same formula they use every time they have a trifecta: take away health care and food assistance from low income families and use the money to fund tax cuts for their donors.

Today, Justice Gorsuch asked if pulling a fire alarm to delay a vote constitutes obstruction of an official proceeding.

It’s an insurrection. And I do NOT use that word lightly.

                  I agree.

As do protesters in the Congressional hallways during a confirmation hearing.
