Lock him up!

Just take responsibility. It is super obvious that it was done on purpose and he knew what he was doing. Dumb!

Given the lack of rational motivation, this may well have been a case of stupidity over malice. the stupidity is astonishing even so.

Massie is being disingenuous here. It is very plausible he would go outside to walk directly to the capitol rather than use the tunnel if he’s in a hurry. Bowman’s office is in the Canon HOB, to go via the tunnels you have to go down two flights on busy elevators and walk over to Longworth and then cut right to the capitol and go back up an elevator. Walking is doing the hypotenuse instead of the two sides of the triangle.
(Note this is not me saying he pulled the fire alarm on accident. His excuse has a big hole in it but it’s not this)

"The impressive ability of the Capitol Hill police to review the footage and release a still from that footage to the public stands in sharp contrast to the inability of the White House and Secret Service to reveal who is responsible for bringing a bag of cocaine into the White House a few months ago."

I’m pretty sure the republicans released the still. He’s calling on them to release the whole video.

From the RWEC:
The new video shows that every word Bowman has said about the incident was a lie. He first took down “Emergency Exit” signs, so he obviously knew what the door was. He then deliberately pulled the fire alarm and immediately walked away. He made no effort to exit through the door. His sole objective was to pull the alarm, cause the building to be evacuated, and delay the House vote on a stopgap spending bill.
So why are we just now seeing this complete video, too late to impact Bowman’s prosecution? The obvious explanation is that the Capitol Police were covering for Bowman. Is there another explanation?
Obstructing an official proceeding is what many (I think most) of the January 6 protesters were charged with. Here we have inarguable video evidence that Jamal Bowman deliberately obstructed an official proceeding.
Yeah, why are we seeing it NOW, after he's pled down to a misdemeanor which will ultimately be expunged from his record.

Santos might well survive the current term despite his legal woes. After that, I'm sure he's done, from a legislative standpoint. The Democrats really dropped the ball doing background work on this guy - so much ammo to tank his campaign with, and they didn't look for it. They wrongly assumed that he'd lose and didn't work hard in his district, which hasn't elected a Republican in 10 years.
Bowman is a shoe-in forever. His district hasn't elected a Republican since....1945. It is the home of Chuck Schumer, Adam Clayton Powell, Charlie Rangel and others.

Bowman has insisted in Congress and court that he was confused and thought that the door (closed for any purpose other than an emergency) would open if he pulled the fire alarm. The video, however, shows Bowman not only taking the emergency sign off the door but never stopping or looking back as he pulled the alarm. There was not even a glance back to see if the door opened. Instead, he quickly walks away with the sign.
Bowman may not have been motivated by delaying the vote, but the videotape does not suggest that he was trying to open the door. It may have been motivated by the same urge as students in schools (like the one Bowman used to oversee) to cause chaos or to vent.
Bowman has insisted “I don’t know why this has gotten so much attention,. I was literally just in a rush to go vote, man! That’s all it was!”
Yet, Bowman never looks at the door, let alone tries to open the door, after pulling the alarm.
Lock him up.
