My 2017 MacBook Pro died
-
One of my 2017 MacBook Pro died; it‘s one with the “Touch Bar.”
That’s probably the worst Mac model I ever acquired. It had required repairs for the keyboard (more than once), the logic board, the track pad, charging issues, etc. Now it simply won’t turn on and won’t charge; probably due to some failure modes originating from the Touch Bar.
This MacBook has been in service only for a little less than six years, so far it is the one that died the youngest among all my Macs. :man-shrugging:

If you are still experiencing difficulties, please unplug your computer for 30 seconds, plug in again carefully, and your issue should be resolved.

@Axtremus from everything I've read, it is, indeed, one of the worst Macs ever. The touchbar, though loved by some, was pretty much hated. Did yours have the ill-designed keyboard that was so problematic?
I'm sure you have everything backed up. I suppose you could sell it for "parts only" on eBay.
Sorry to hear of your travails.
OTOH, my 2011 MacBook Air (11") is still working fine - it's dedicated to a Pianoteq device sitting atop my Roland.
