      That's fun - and actually is in line with what my teacher used to say. It's not the places with oodles of high speed notes that mess them up as much as the simple line as things move from muscle memory to thoughtful intervention. BTW, I actually joined Tonebase when they started it. It's nice to see them opening up some of their videos on YouTube.

        Also fun to see Rachmaninoff make a mistake in HIS OWN COMPOSITION, and...recover.

        Wasn't it Beethoven that said, "It is never wrong to play the incorrect note. To play it without feeling is unforgivable"?

          No , the composer did not make a mistake in his own composition, he created a new edition for own composition.
