I personally think Trump has a good chance of winning in November, however I think it's fair to say that you have a long history of over-estimating the Republican candidate's chances.

Admittedly, not as bad as Larry, God bless him, who memorably congratulated President Romney on his election victory.

    I was only joking

Q: If you win in November, can you commit to prioritizing legislation to make childcare affordable, and, if so, what specific piece of legislation will you advance?

A: Well, I would do that, and we’re sitting down — you know, I was, somebody — we had Senator Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka was so impactful on that issue. It’s a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I’m talking about, that — because the childcare is childcare — there’s something, you have to have it in this country. You have to have it. But when you talk about those numbers compared to the kind of numbers that I’m talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they’re not used to — but they’ll get used to it very quickly — and it’s not going to stop them from doing business with us; but they’ll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country. Those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we’re talking about, including childcare, that it’s going to take care — we’re going to have, I look forward to having no deficits within a fairly short period of time, coupled with the reductions that I told you about on waste and fraud and all of the other things that are going on in our country because I have to stay with childcare. I want to stay with childcare. But those numbers are small relative to the kind of economic numbers that I’m talking about — including growth — but growth also headed up by what the plan is that I just told you about. We’re going to be taking in trillions of dollars. And as much as childcare is talked about as being expensive, it’s, relatively speaking, not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers we’ll be taking in. We’re going to make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people, and then we’ll worry about the rest of the world. Let’s help other people, but we’re going to take care of our country first. This is about America first. It’s about “Make America Great Again.” We have to do it because right now we’re a failing nation, so we’ll take care of it. Thank you.

Actually, if you'd listen to some of what he's proposed, he wants a 15% tax on corporations who will make their products in the U.S. vs 30 some-odd percent tax on companies that make product overseas and import the finished product

Trump and Vance are out there campaigning. They're talking to just about anybody that will listen. They're doing town halls, doing pressers, doing interviews, holding campaign rallies.

WTF is your candidate doing? Working on a new pancake recipe in her basement?

I admit, I like a good mess of collard greens as well as the next person. With just a few drops of jalapeno sauce, hot cornbread and cold milk...It's pretty good eating.

Don't know how that equates with being the Leader of the Free World, though.

And on second thought, who washes their collard greens in the bathtub? You wash them in a foot tub or a wash tub if you're outside, almost always in the kitchen sink if you're inside. I have seen people do them in a washing machine, but that's with enough greens that you're fixing to can greens and you're working in volume.

He and President Biden is kind of like the old relative at a family gathering, who will tell a story that goes off in 27 different directions and has nothing to do with what was being talked about.

The relatives nod, smile, and pat him on the hands.

One thing I was wondering about: Given Trump's age, his overall (presumed) bad health, what are the odds that he would live through a 4 year term?

As much golf as he plays and the schedule keeps, he has to be in better shape than a !ot of guys his age. And if somethings, it seems like with those guys it's catastrophic, not lingering.

Take a look at Vance and evaluate.

Avoid the question and repeat talk points. (To be fair to President Trump, VP Harris was the same during the debate)
