True story...Several years ago we were in the New Orleans Steinway dealership. The very best piano in the shop was an Essex. An Essex in the teaching room.

BTW, that comment was just to illustrate that a piano that has had action work and is kept in tune, may be "better" than pianos than have not had much TLC, even if the other pianos are of higher grade.
