Jordan Peterson cultural indoctrination

I'm taking a chinese language course from a local language school. Today is the second lesson, on Skype. Last week was a totally normal lesson about vocabulary and pronunciation and what have you. This week the teacher wanted to play for us a "meaningful video" at the start of the two hour lesson. It's a Jordan Peterson presentation that has nothing to do with learning Chinese. I mean, except to whatever extent general self help has to do with learning Chinese. Bizarre. I admit, I love it, but if it was the opposite end of the culture wars, I'd drop the class immediately.

Horace, is the teacher trying to weed out the students he/she does not think will fit in with all the supplemental materials to be presented? Who are the targeted students for this language class, and is it part of a multi-year series?
I still don't quite understand something else. As far as I'm concerned, you seem to be getting somewhat closer to understanding English, pretty much. So why the English language video in the first place? How would the teacher justify it?
You can select any 20 questions from my list of 100 above. -

I guess the teacher is trying to weed out the libtards. Most pedagogs understand that libtards are ineducable in any subject, which is frustrating for those who value education. It is good to reach down to them and attempt to pull them up towards those of us with more normal levels of intelligence, but that can be a frustrating process. Frustrating not only for the teacher, but also for the student, when the student seems stuck in perpetual stupidity and ignorance, as libtards are. It's a complicated moral issue. How best to help libtards?

This is a small school, owned by a random chinese lady, and I get the sense she may have opinions, along with a desire to share them. She doesn't teach the class, but she is involved with the curriculum.
Today, nobody commented on the Peterson video. We just went straight into the normal lesson after it was over. There was another self-help slide at the end of class, but not Peterson related.

I'd hate to have you as a student in my class. Either as a teacher or student, they will all suffer as they try to understand Horace. I think you better be careful. Sitting on a stool in the corner can't be fun for a man of your extended years. I'm just trying to help you, bud. Remember, education isn't just important.
