The dumber versions of bigotry are not nearly as prevalent in people's minds as the tribal messengers would like everybody to believe.
The real bigotry is in the culture wars, where true hatred and disgust at outgroups is manifest in millions of hearts and minds. Case in point NS and his wonderful contributions here, or your average TDS sufferers and how they feel about those who vote for their nemesis.

I work with plenty of Muslims. It would be bizarre to care or judge, and nobody does.
Trump supporters or more generally conservatives, on the other hand, well, let the joyful hatred fly!
That’s real world stuff, not what we think the world is based on messaging and indoctrination.

You've never posted any anti-Islamic stuff that I recall, but plenty of it was posted. I know it's nice to pretend it never happened and all the bigots are liberals, but that's not how it was.

I've posted anti-Muslim stuff. When people rape and kill in the name of religion, when they convert people by the sword and not by persuasion, when they behave in a 12th century manner and treat women like chattel, according to what they claim are the beliefs of their religion... Well, they deserve derision.
