Meanwhile, in Sweetwater

The road to hell is paved with...
"The Sweetwater piles are also at least partly the indirect result of a rule clarification the Internal Revenue Service issued in 2016. Before then, a wind farm could collect valuable federal tax credits for only its first ten years of operation. But the IRS determined that it would restart the clock on the credits if a wind farm “repowered” its turbines—replacing most of their equipment with newer parts. So, despite the expected two-decade lifespan for turbine blades, wind farms across Texas and other states began replacing many that remained in good shape years early."

To me, the amount of outrage seems quite a big higher than the "crime".
(Yes, yes I would not want to live next to it, but....)
30 acres compared to the size of most landfills is pretty minor. And I would think that the smell, etc is almost zero. Just require the company to build a dirt wall so that it is not visible.

These things don't rot.
Agree, but I am sure that if you look closely at a landfill, a garbage bag from 30 years ago will still be there, a broken bicycle, a plastic doll, etc.
I just dont see it as more of a problem than a typical landfill. I dont understand why this is appearing to be worse.
