Astrophysicists Fill In 11 Billion Years of Our Universe’s Expansion History

The SDSS map: We are located at the center of this map. The inset for each color-coded section of the map includes an image of a typical galaxy or quasar from that section, and also the signal of the pattern that the eBOSS team measures there. As we look out in distance, we look back in time. So, the location of these signals reveals the expansion rate of the Universe at different times in cosmic history.

I have the largest 3D map of the universe. It's 1:1 scale. You're in it now.

        Only non-witches get due process.

I have a map of the United States. It's 1:1 scale.

          I hardly ever unfold it.

I also have an existential map. It has "you are here" written all over it.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
