30% of blacks think things have gotten better since 1963.

They should have been around in the South of 1963...

The woke narrative is psychologically abusive towards blacks. Especially black children.

      Education is extremely important.

It might help if they had someone to blame for their troubles.

            Yeah, that's just batshit crazy.

So...70% think things have gotten worse.

              Why?

And what does this do to MLK's dream?

My guess is that they don't actually believe that. Also, 1963 is a long time ago, most people questioned probably answered the question that was in their heads - "Have things got worse in the last 10 years?" - or however many years people actually think of when they think about "some time ago".

Also, obviously, people believe all kinds of shit. People have used a statistic that tons of people think the election was rigged to support the idea that the election was rigged. Using that argument, racism has got worse.

“At least in the 50s it was out there! It wasn’t hidden! Now everybody pretends that it’s fair when it’s worse than ever”

                  I imagine that’s the mindset

Some people say that perception is reality.

                    Not physicists, obviously. People.

Observation (at least from my corner of the world): The script has flipped. The most racist people, taken as a whole, are blacks. I think the victim role has been taught to most of them since birth and too many of them see everything through that lens, skewing perception into racism.
