This week, they have to cut a NFL-quality placekicker.

    Anybody need one?

Two teams have no place kicker for week 1. I’m sure you guys will get some small conditional pick.

Likely San Francisco. Detroit May just wait to see if one is cut.

The rookie from Notre Dame missed a 60-yard field goal last night, wide right. But...the height was at least half-way up the upright...That thing would have been good from 68. Anything les than 50, he's made. Kid is 5'7" and looks like he ought to be in high school.

And...Lutz had a bad year last year, coming off of an abdominal injury. He's looked good this preseason, though. The kicker is that he's owed $4M this year. Gruppe's contract would be $2M/3 years.

LOL, Pittsburgh kept 2 punters on their 53. Obviously, there is a trade in the works...

Big Nutz Lutz was traded to Denver for a 7th rounder.

The " I am Gruppe" era begins in New Orleans.
