I think this is the key quote in the article
“We’re seeing with Donald Trump that, even though he’s a very divisive candidate with independents, he’s loved by Republicans. Same with Kari Lake."
A lot of problems the Republics had in the recent elections is that in order to win the primary, the policies stated by the candidate do not do well in the general election.

In a three way race, what are the odds that Sinema remains standing?
I don't think her independent-ish streak will pull a lot of GOP voters.

Polling from national Republicans shows Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego leading in Arizona’s U.S. Senate race over potential GOP nominee Kari Lake, with incumbent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema far behind both.
During the Tuesday presentation to fellow Republicans, Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., who heads the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said Sinema, I-Ariz., is pulling votes from the GOP, not from Democrats, -

Lake was pressed again on who stole the gubernatorial election from her and how it happened before the Arizona Republican acknowledged she didn’t know who specifically had compromised the election against her.
“The elections are run poorly. They’re — they’re run very poorly, and I don’t know who exactly stole the election, but there are a lot of people who are running elections poorly

"I was for it before I was against it."
I think that the Repulbicans are realizing how much an anti-abortion position may hurt them.
Kari Lake regarding the 1864 Arizona law against abortion while campaigning for governor
"I'm incredibly thrilled that we are going to have a great law that's already on the books," Lake said in that interview
Now, she says
"I have traveled to every corner of this state on the campaign trail," Lake said in a statement on Tuesday. "I speak to more Arizonans than anyone and it is abundantly clear that the pre-statehood law is out of step with Arizonans."

Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) is projected to beat Republican Kari Lake in a consequential race for Arizona Senate, dealing the former local news anchor her second straight electoral loss, according to Decision Desk HQ.
Gallego, who has served in the House for nearly a decade representing a Phoenix-based House seat, will succeed outgoing Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.). Sinema opted against reelection after changing her political affiliation from Democrat to Independent last year, as Sinema faced steep odds in getting reelected.

President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday that he’s picking Kari Lake as director of Voice of America, installing a staunch loyalist who ran unsuccessfully for Arizona governor and a Senate seat to head the congressionally funded broadcaster that provides independent news reporting around the world.

Saw that earlier. It'll be interesting to see if anyone complains about Lake at VoA censoring content.
