That's right. But, as I've said, in politics, perception is reality. If ever there were a "Katrina" moment for the Biden administration, this is it. It took POTATUS two weeks to make a visit. Remember how Bush was pilloried for his flyover of New Orleans? This is the same, if not worse. At least Bush didn't fall asleep on the plane, as far as we know.

We're frequently being told how nobody watches the MSM any more (with the exception of Fox, at least until they ditched the Wonderful Tucker Carlson). How can they be mainstream if nobody watches them?

July 2023, Fox News Channel averaged 1.57 million total primetime viewers—the most out of any other network. (MSNBC averaged 1.12 million. CNN had about 534,000.)
Sound like a lot?
1.57 million is 0.4% of Americans. It's mainstream in context to their antiquated platform.
You know who kicks Fox's ass? Vox. Their average viewership on YouTube per video is 2 million.
Much, much higher than that is Joe Rogan at 11 million. And if you find the idea of getting news from Joe Rogan silly then you're out of touch. It's what people are doing.

Me neither, for the most part. But in order to understand why a channel can still be called mainstream even though no one watches it, you have to look at the numbers.
