What do we get? The first tropical storm to hit here in 84 years.
It's a Buc-ee's trip.

My cleaning lady is there too on vacation.
They say they’ll get multiple years worth of rain in a couple of days.
Should be interesting.

I’m hearing 2 to 4 inches. It did rain a bit yesterday, but was still sunny. The desert is always surprising. Headed out to Red Rock Canyon today.

I’ve done a southern Utah drive. Red rock areas are magnificent

Gorgeous, but please be careful. You don’t know the area, don’t know what roads cut through where. That runoff from the mountains is no joke.

I've been well aware of desert floods for many years. Don't worry.

We also cruised the strip yesterday. I haven't been here since 1976. It's like Times Square x 1000. Grotesque, like in a sci-fi dystopia.

Go watch the Pirates show at Treasure Island. If you time it right, you can also watch the water show at Bellagio.

I'm not much one for man-made spectacle.

You’re a musical theater guy. That’s nothing but manmade spectacle…
Seriously, the Treasure Island Show is a Broadway show.

No. Cats is spectacle. The Drowsy Chaperone is a Broadway musical.
