If you are 5 minutes early

    You are 5 minutes late

I wear sneakers and a Tron t-shirt to interviews.

Presumably you're trying to distract them from the fact that you've got a degree in poetry?

    I was only joking

Oh I bring that up as soon as possible. It's a great stress test.

      Please love yourself.

You should show up in a black velvet suit with a carnation in the button hole.

I had an Irish friend who once did that to a works do. Pretty much the entire dinner was spent listening to his wife telling him he needed to return the suit.

        I was only joking

You laugh. A guy who lived in my apartment complex who looked like the blond guy in Dukes of Hazard showed up for an interview at my company in a lavender matador style suit. Looked like something Elvis would wear.

Younger people live their lives on the net.

I suspect the story is true. The only question is the level of the job.

I've seen worse happen a couple of times. One was for a VP position.

I bet anybody interviewing with Jeff Bezos for a C suite position at Amazon, would be understanding about being kept waiting.

                  Education is extremely important.

That's different process, though. That's not "get a ticket to validate your parking" kind of situation.

I'd bet making him wait was part of the interview. Maybe it was one of the big issues internally, and they're looking for someone to be able to tighten things up without causing more issues from the offended classes.

Someone should design a virtually silent little remote controlled car (I mean size of a matchbox) that could cruise around the office area listening to what people are talking about, transcribed to your cell phone. It would be great to finally get in to the actual interview, totally ahead of their game, while your stealth car-ita automatically finds its way out of the building to a predetermined secret hiding place. Yes, another million-dollar idea given to you all for free!
