Yes, they've had problems, especially with engines. And yes, they're lightly armed and would suffer in peer-to-peer engagements. But we've paid for them, they aren't very old and they are stealthy. Use them in littoral waters as intended, or let them hunt subs.
Don't decommission them and sell them for pennies on the dollar. Change the engines if we must, and put them to work.
