      Interesting. You have mentioned him before and thanks to that, I have been learning more about him.

      They are both "populists", and I think that is the main common link.

          Thanks for sharing that. He was quite a character.

          I wonder why he decided to go to the US senate. I would have think that he was much more powerful as governor than as a senator.

            And yes, Louisiana has one of the most powerful governors, even today.

                Ah okay.

                I just read about his assassination. I wonder if running out of the Capital building made his blood pump harder and did more damage than if he would have stayed in place and waiting for medical care right there.
