Nick Cave has God-tier legend status in Oz. I opted to read his book as part of my degree, and hung out with his biographer a bit since he and my landlady worked at RAM together. Apparently Cave can be a really intense dude or a very nice guy, depending on the situation.

I just bought his book Faith, Hope, and Carnage, based on the quality of that letter.

He is one hell of a writer in my humble opinion. Not because he's weird, which he is. He's also very good.
