When we moved, I was amazed at how much they were willing to lend me. There was no way we could have afforded the mortgage payments we initially had before we paid off the house sale and re-cast it. Banks are awful.

Rates are up. Greed is a powerful thing.

So glad our house is paid off some years back. We had so many people telling us not to.
