The Epic Founder

My old place is transitioning from Cerner (which was horrible for the docs) to Epic in the next few months. One advantage for me, as a patient, is that my new docs will have access to all of my older (>10 years) records.
I haven't used Epic as a doc, obviously, but as a patient, I like MyChart.

Cerner was fine, if you stuck to the script.
But, entering any order with a different dose, unusual med, awkward timing was a pain.
Also, a one-time med was also a pain. In PACU, I had an order set, but if I wanted to give a one-of medication, it was endless clicks and checkboxes. It was a lot slower than writing "Zofran, 4mg. IV now."
