If a white male is angry, it is a character flaw. If a member of an oppressed class is angry, it is due to an abundance of virtue, and a reaction against an unvirtuous society.

        Education is extremely important.

I hardly see any of this stuff around here. By and large people are just getting on with it.

And we're supposed to be in the most liberal part of the country. But if you talk to regular people in the corner shop, and out walking, that's not how they sound. I don't actually believe it's particularly liberal round here. Certainly not by comparison to the idiocy you see coming out of Chicago and California.

Of course, these aren't the people who seemingly spend their entire lives on Twitter.

              I was only joking

I hear quite a bit of what the writer wrote uttered by everyday folks in my part of the world. As people become more dependent on government, they give up freedom for safety and security. The inability to hire labor or keep labor, because of all the government programs available. Many feel that the social net we have, contributes to the rural drug abuse problem. And some feel that many people have lost their independence and work ethic and are content to not prosper, because they don't have to get ahead.

When the flimsy virtue narratives of the left appear in written supreme court opinions, along with the disingenuous and easily disproven anecdotes that support them, any reasonable person is allowed to believe that the narratives have permeated the culture. (Not that it took that much for a reasonable person to have reached that conclusion.) The reaction to those dishonest narratives will also necessarily be mainstream, if mostly unspoken by those who must live among leftists. Which is to say, most people with corporate jobs.

                    Really?

These are the people who couldn't see the problem with the Bud Lite can.

They still don't have any idea why there was dislike of that beer can.

                    No kidding, ask them.

I rather doubt Vladimir Putin cares that much about Mr. Floyd. He's too busy defending the world against the simultaneous perils of woke Western liberalism and Jewish Nazis!

Europe is always burning and has been for over a thousand years. The play remains the same, only the cast changes...

Minorities can affect thoughts and feels of majorities. It's a little bit deeper than the majority staying silent and secretly thinking the "vocal minority" is crazy. What is said out loud and communicated freely, reinforces and directs the true beliefs of the masses. That's how the radicalization of our campuses doesn't feel radical to those in that bubble.

                                    Education is extremely important.

It is the "outliers" on both sides which most of the attention, out of proportion to their numbers.

How much time have you spent in Loudoun County?

                                      Zero. LOL

(I may have driven through it, but in any case, not much time.)

I used to live there. So I still get the community emails. There are two main reasons why a very small minority of malcontents often make the paper. If it bleeds, it leads, and because they actually do wreck things for everyone else.

I agree with you 100%. It is sad that a minority is taking up so much news when it is not really justified.

You missed my point. It actually is justified. You don't have to deal with it so it's not real to you. Sorry to break it to you but not everyone enjoys that luxury.

                                      Please love yourself.
