That is a silly way to see it. Especially since the ver motivation for him taking the picture in the first place was to poke his finger in the eye of a bunch of idiots who were doing exactly what you just accused him of. Except they weren't offering free publicity, they were threatening to destroy his company.

My opinion on the matter begins and ends with the observation that it's darkly hilarious so many people care so much about the president posing with a damn can of beans. There's practically a trite cliche about this already. -

@Doctor-Phibes yeah - Trump just sorta blends into the furniture for me now.
He’s like a funny armchair in the corner of the room. I can criticize it - but for whatever reason - I don’t really care about it anymore.
Hell - he’s funny and a conversation piece.
I will admit that I hated the fact that he was there for a couple of years. (Didn’t hate him personally, just the fact that he was there)

Indeed. It's rather scary. Trump even said himself that he could shoot random people on Fifth Avenue and not loose any votes. This is more and more literally true.
