    Chicago dog.

BTW: How did you like those "sport" peppers?

Excellent, but I’ll note that it seemed fairly close to the peperoncini that I used originally.

I did have to skip the tomato. I had the last tomato out and washed, ready to be cut, then went outside to finish putting away Finley’s splash pad. I come back to find no tomato and suspicious red juice on Finley’s shirt and chin…

Don't know what recipe the wife uses, but there's a bunch of videos on how to do them. Usually doing a Cracker Barrel copycat.

They're easy, work as a side dish or a dessert, or even a topping on something else.

On a hot dog, maybe a little sweet relish.

            Nothing else, nothing.

I didn’t grill, and a little char on a hotdog is not a bad thing.

Just had never heard of them is all. I lived in the south long enough to be familiar with most ‘southern dishes’, but this one is new to me.

Stuff migrates. Don't have many apples in my part of the world except for Granny Smith and some new varieties, so the old folks didn't do a lot of apple dishes. I suspect the dish came out of Appalachia and was spread by Cracker Barrel.

Not hard to do. Try them sometime.

BTW, won't be long and peaches will be rolling in.

Get you some, grill them and serve with a scoop of Bluebell Homemade Vanilla...Talk about good!

I’ve been eating them since the first ones hit the shelves. The California peaches are still superior to the eastern peaches but that will reverse any day now.

At this point in the season the white peaches seem to be the best. Again that will shift.
