In full swing here. Been eating Georgia peaches and Bing and Ranier cherries for a month. Today a shipment arrived with a couple pounds of the biggest, sweetest, meatiest cherries ever that MFR bought me as an early birthday present. Ungodly good.

On top of that tomatoes and corn are coming in.

    What are your favorites?

We had our first watermelon of the season and it's awesome. I was going to post about it actually.

Been eating strawberries and peaches too.

Its not homegrown. It has seeds in it but very few. Though to be fair by the time I saw it Rachel had cut it up.

I have not had one yet this year. I usually keep a big bowl of it cut into slabs in the fridge.

You are lucky - you live where EVERYTHING grows. I bet the farmers' markets there are incredible.

They're pretty good but always expensive. We've found that high expectations for farmer's markets are not always met and that it is often possible to find comparably good and cheaper produce at the supermarket. Not for everything but for many things.

OK, since I have a ton of cherries - I already had bings and raniers in the fridge - and I am foisting off salmon on MFR (she does not like it, I love it), I will make this sweet recipe as she prefers fish with a little sweet.
