How much support in federal funds have these companies received?

        Quite a bit, I suspect.

I don't know if this is the same program, but the Feds were offering $8k tax rebates. I know that has to drive demand.

I'm getting a rebate on my taxes this year. The solar companies build that into the loan payments. They quote you a monthly price that assumes you surrender that money to them, when you get it. It's 30% of the loan amount.

Well, you know what they say about assumptions. I assume it's not an assumption but a contract term.

The contract is, you give us the tax credit, or your monthly payment goes from A to B. The monthly payment they quote you verbally, is A. The contractual terms contain both A and B.
