Interesting. And they're working on a carrier-based refueling DRONE.
Sorta related to carriers, in the PBS documentary there was a segment where a pilot was having a hard time landing (don't remember the reason - weather?) and running low on gas.
They had to send up another F/A-18 to fuel him up so he could try again.
