I think gays and lesbians will do just fine in Florida. The gender benders, not so much. Hard to be an aggrieved class when you A) can't define who you are, and B) you seek superiority over other classes.
And if you look ridiculous.

Damn. I was really planning on retiring to a Northern State, but Florida is making it harder and harder…

“I’m a trans adult. I have gender nonconforming children,
How surprising… What are the odds?
-
Seriously? I really don’t have an issue with Trans Adults. It’s all the kids’ stuff that I can’t abide… And I’m sick of it being shoved in my face. If trans people are leaving Florida, I could find that very enticing. Too bad the weather sucks.

When I was a kid, the rare times my disgust reflex was activated was in the obligatory sitcom episodes where the male characters dressed as female. I guess I have a stronger reaction to that than most people. It wasn't funny, it was just gross. I don't mind the dresses so much, but the makeup on a male was revolting. I've outgrown that, and don't have any reaction anymore. But yeah the indoctrination and suggestive stuff crosses the line. Which I would have assumed would be obvious to any sane person. But I continually recalibrate my understanding of the power of group-think and the compulsion to belong to the virtue tribe. People are idiots, and adult people are the worst when it comes to that.

This.
Wanna celebrate? Fine. Just don't expect me to join in your
debaucheryrevelsfun. And the fact that you want to expose 5 year olds to it is beyond disgusting. What was once just a fringe thing you could find at zombietime.com is becoming mainstream.
Just a thought: If these kinds of displays were done by women, or heterosexual couples, would anyone object?

I have a corollary belief that as the size of the group grows, the idiocy expands exponentially. When you have almost unilateral consensus, that’s when my hackles start to rise.

Psst...Don't look now, but they've got air conditioning.
And what's a friendly hurricane now and then?

No snow, no snow ski, no sale.

Texas and the Underground Railroad…
:eyeroll: -
How are African Americans not offended by this?
-
I am sure zero Texans are troubled by liberals leaving TX. And I am sure there are plenty of gay (and black) residents who appreciate the politics around here. My Nigerian neighbors are probably among them, though we've of course never discussed politics.

My son really wants to buy a little bigger house out towards Hutto.
This could be an opportunity...
Look up registered sex offenders in the area and make them an offer?

I was thinking maybe a rainbow noose cast into the front yard?
