FFA was a big deal in my high school. A lot of my friends were in it.

I wasn't, though. I was into other things. This provides a pretty good baseline example:

How they did organization photos for our high school yearbooks was thus: they took all the school's organizations and divided them into thirds, for three time blocks. When it was your organization's time, you were called to the gymnasium to wait for your group's name to be called. Then you'd sit on the bleachers, they'd get the photo, and they'd call the next organization up.

The photographer from the local paper did the photos. Corralling kids over and over again takes a ton of time, though, so we had to be fast to get every organization represented. Call the org up, everyone sit down, click, okay next group. All day it was like this. It was frantic and confusing.

I wasn't in very many organizations—actually I don't think I was in any—but I was in Journalism, so we were tasked with organizing the photo shoots. Wherein I took it upon myself to sit in with the other groups when they had their photos taken. The game was to see how many I could get in before anyone got wise.

For my junior year, I got into well over a dozen photos. They tried to crop me out of the ones where I sat on the edge, but others, I was more or less in the center, so they had to use creative captioning to exclude me and my name for orgs where I didn't belong.

      The detention was worth it.

      Please love yourself.
