The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Wasn't he saying they could go to 'faith-based' organizations - i.e. churches, or live with private individuals who are struggling to make ends meet - i.e. presumably he means the people putting them up will be paid by the city to do so?

Not that is necessarily a good idea, but isn't that what he meant? Not just forcing them on the locals.

      I was only joking

Being forced to provide room and board for the British soldiers was one of the primary reasons for the revolutionary war.

This is what you memorize for the American citizenship test.

          Education is extremely important.

She can stay in my room, the guest room is a tad uncomfortable.

I may be wrong, but I had the impression that these were going to be voluntary requests, not mandated. That’s a pretty big difference…

                        Of course.

Then the allusions to past historical atrocities are invalid, and people should be smacked on the back of their heads for making them.

Right. I've read that reimbursement will be about $150 per person per day. There's money to be made, to be sure.

Who's going to assume the responsibility for trashing the place, providing the meals, and monitoring that there's no underage sex in the halls or drug trafficking? The AirBnB owner?

Well, if you look at that completely non-alarmist Cato report from the other thread, we're soon going to have cameras in every house, so no problem.

Barracks. Segregate the men from the women. Segregate all children over the age of six.

Feed them well. Have all adults work on a truck farm, all food to go to their kitchens with the surplus going to food banks. Have all children attend school six hours/day, six days a week. Pay the adults 25cents/hour. Repatriate them ASAP.

Create a system of trustees to help coordinate, manage and police the illegals. Build a small jail at each facility for minor offenses that cannot be addressed through loss privileges or extra work details. Major offenses or repeat offenders mays be addressed through the Federal Judiciary.

You should be able to house, clothe, educate and feed them on less than $40/day.
