        Well worth the time. We're just not aware that things like this are still taking place, even here.

        Lola's story after she came to live at the author's house rather reminded me of my beloved MIL, who became the woman of the house at thirteen, upon her mother's death. She could never be convinced to stop taking care of her family and found joy in the work of it.
