Van Houten may go free

I’d like to see her die in prison on principle but it’s hard to imagine she’d be a threat to anyone at age 73.

Should felons be set free when they no longer pose a threat of committing another crime?
Serious question: Is there something to be said for punishment?

Released.

She looks so...grandmotherly, no?

What happens to a person released from jail at 73 after spending over 50 there?
Without family support it seems you’d be kind of screwed. Seems like she’d almost have to try to make money off the Manson notoriety.

Yeah, it would almost be like stepping out of a time capsule. You "may" have read about some things, but seeing all the changes that happened in the last 50+ years would be crazy.
(BTW, on an recent airplane ride, I watched "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" which kind of "re-imagines" a different storyline to that whole Manson murders.)

Don't inmates get paid a pittance per hour while incarcerated? Assuming so, I wonder how much cash she gets when she leaves the citadel? The heinous crime aside, it would be interesting to get her impressions on how some things changed, assuming her mind is not spaghetti.
