Listening to a Q&A with Nick Moran yesterday, who recently finished up a set of war games at Fort Hood (or whatever the Bidenidiots are calling it nowadays). The Army has been using drones and defending against drone attacks for awhile, but the Ukraine War has sent the brass scrambling.

One of the things being studied or worked on...

Drone measures and countermeasures, doctrine and applications being evaluated and redone. An emphasis on defeating electronic countermeasures and on killing drones on the cheap.

Wonder what other aspects of the Ukraine War have militaries evaluating or changing the way they fight?

Interesting comment. As I posted in the Ukraine War thread, there were several minor drone attacks in Moscow. Ukraine, of course, denies that they were the origin.

Moscow's response was that the drones were disabled by anti-aircraft protection and “Three of them were suppressed by electronic warfare, lost control and deviated from their intended targets."

        SHORAD.

One thing Moran did mention (he's very conscious of anything classified, so he only talks about public knowledge) is the work with the 30mm auto-cannon and proximity fusing. You have to keep in mind that Moran is an armor officer working with M1's and Bradleys, so this is likely a variation on the old Bradley platform.

        More stuff on SHORAD... https://warisboring.com/the-u-s-army-needs-more-anti-aircraft-weapons-and-fast/
