Why do you prefer to have freezer at the bottom?
My current refrigerator has the freezer at one side.
My previous refrigerator had the freezer on top.
Some relatives have refrigerator with freezer at the bottom.
Can’t say I have any strong preference one way or another.-
Easier access… You will reach into your refrigerator a lot more often than the freezer. Having refrigerated items higher up makes it much easier to access as opposed to having to bend over to get the watermelon out of the bottom…

side to side units mean less vertical space. That makes organization harder.
Beat me to it.

I'm happy with my frigidaire with freezer on bottom, drink drawer in the middle, and fridge on top. French doors, but I prefer that, as it requires less space to open the door. We use the water and ice dispensers and are happy with them. My previous fridge had no ice dispenser nor maker, and I went years without ice, because I was too lazy to make it.

One thing to consider...These are the schisnitz:
Worth every dime.

We have ice cube trays and don't use as much as you might down there.
Problem solved. Whirlpool makes Kitchen Aid, and still makes the exact same case, same size. Pretty much exactly what we had, just badged differently. This is very good, because the space we have for it is very tight by today's standards. I would have either had to get a smaller fridge or take out the cabinet above it. It will be delivered Tuesday, along with a new dishwasher.
We went to Lee and Jack's, out in Batavia. Great place, and these people know their appliances, unlike the big boxes. great prices and service too.

I've got one guy down here (Maytag + Kitchen Aide dealer) that has great service, but his prices are a bit high.
