Spray tan. Another thing she has in common with HHSNBN.

Come on. Who honestly didn't see this coming a mile away on either side.

That's one way to react to an anecdote. You have other ways, too.

Yeah she just won her primary and that’s the only one she could lose.

I'm not saying this should be given a pass because it was predictable. That it was makes it more screwed up, not less.

Fascinating to me that we're so comfortable with what the weight of the "lifelong Democrat" qualifier is supposed to have.

Seems a meaningful qualifier that the person delivering the opinion is claiming kinship with those she's delivering it to, but has arrived at a new conclusion via a little free thought. It's important scaffolding to establish that the holder of the opinion is not an Evil person by nature.

If we don't wipe ourselves out beforehand, I can see this kind of shit providing a fountainhead for a new kind of noun declension in Future Stupid English. Instead of a subjective or possessive case, we'll have something of an authoritarian case that establishes the subject of the sentence as an alleged credible person.

AOC said in the tweet that she was getting pushback from Republicans about her prior tweet. Caitlin Flanagan just was pointing out that it isn't just Republicans.
