      Low teacher salaries are a problem. I'm not sure about his curriculum statements, but I suspect those are balderdash.

        Meanwhile, down here, we have a marvelous fight going on, where both sides have very good points. Faced with extra revenue, our Democrat governor want to give teachers an across the board raise. Our Republican legislature wants to address unfunded accrued liability in the TRSLA (teacher's retirement system) with the money, with maybe some money given to the school districts to use as needed.
