I wondered if it's staged. Note how the camera is moving. If someone was holding it, why didn't they drop it an run to help?

Might be. OTOH, I've noticed young folks tend to keep the phone recording even while all hell is breaking loose.

I've rewatched multiple times. If the video starts right after a shot, he doesn't pump in another shell. The firearm is a pump shotgun, small gauge...Looks like a .410.
I also don't see any dirt fly up from muzzle blast and I don't see the gun recoil when it supposedly goes off.
