    This is a bit bizarre...

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Anyone stupid enough to go for that has my blessing to go.

The phrase "That guy's completely full of shit" springs to mind, for some reason.

        I was only joking

Ha, if I move to any village it’s going to be on the west side of Lake Okanagan near Fintry, BC..

“Many normal people emigrate and are considering Russia, but they’re faced with huge bureaucratic problems with Russia’s migration law,” he said.

And language barrier, lack of economic opportunity, fear that the Russian state may decide to take your freedom or life to make a geopolitical statement, etc etc

I’ve said before - I’m glad I got to visit Russia in the fall of 2019. Little did I know that between Covid and the new geopolitical reality it was more or less my last chance. It’s hard to imagine another point in my lifetime that I’d be comfortable going. Maybe my son would go again some day.

That mirrors my sentiment with Hong Kong. I visited Hong Kong and Macau before COVID. Now I doubt I want to visit anywhere under the CCP’s jurisdiction.

@Axtremus I used to have a team in Hong Kong that reported into me. I would go every couple of months.

On one trip I went to Macau and committed acts of unspeakable depravity.

@Axtremus But how about mainland China? I was there just once. I can imagine wanting to take my son there but I’d really have to research the current level of safety and risk first.
