I’ve said before - I’m glad I got to visit Russia in the fall of 2019. Little did I know that between Covid and the new geopolitical reality it was more or less my last chance. It’s hard to imagine another point in my lifetime that I’d be comfortable going. Maybe my son would go again some day.

That mirrors my sentiment with Hong Kong. I visited Hong Kong and Macau before COVID. Now I doubt I want to visit anywhere under the CCP’s jurisdiction.
