Another Williams with a similar pedigree...

William Charles Frederick Grover-Williams (born William Charles Frederick Grover, 16 January 1903 – 18 March 1945 (or shortly thereafter)), also known as "W Williams", was a British Grand Prix motor racing driver and special agent who worked for the Special Operations Executive (SOE) inside France. As a racing driver, he is best known for winning the first Monaco Grand Prix and as an SOE agent he organised and coordinated the Chestnut network, before being captured and executed by the Nazis.

Did you know that Ted Williams was John Glenn's wingman? Yes, that John Glenn.

I am so old, I watched Ted Williams play at Fenway Park.

I once dreamt that I was inside Ted Williams' tunnel.

It was surprisingly well lit, and quite clean, all things considered.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

It's a big smelly hole close to Rose Kennedy's greenway, apparently.

Colin Kaepernick is our contemporary equivalent. He sacrificed his career in order to fight the good fight for social justice.

                    Education is extremely important.

Ted Williams was blessed with phenomenal eyesight and world class reflexes.

He knew what the pitcher was throwing, by watching the laces on the ball as it came out of the pitcher's hand.

I have no idea why I know this or remember it, but Ted Williams is also in the Fishing Hall of Fame! LOL
