eBay question

My son is listing an item which has received one bid. He set the floor to low, as he actually doesn't want to sell at that price.
What is the downside of getting a friend to bid on it? One outcome would be the other guy bids again and higher, but of course the other is my friend ends up winning, in which case I would refund his purchase price through some other channel, then not send the device.
Might I get flagged for never having printed a shipping label or something? Or will he be forced to pay for shipping as well, which I'll also need to reimburse?

If the listing has "local pickup available" there's no need for a shipping label. He can revise the listing under "shipping" to reflect that.
The other option is to just cancel the auction and re-list at a higher price in a few days/weeks.
