It's not fast. There's no twin-v rumble. It can even be a little quirky at times.
But it's a bike that's turning up on more and more best beginner bike lists. It rides well. The seat height is fairly low. It's pretty economical. It's customizable. And parts are pretty cheap.
How cheap? Revzilla recently did a review on beginner bikes and found that in a drop test, the Meteor was the only bike they could fix for less than $100. For example, the clutch handle assembly on a BMW was over $100. The RE unit was $10.
