I liked the mother daughter head pieces. Kate appeared like a goddess. The little princess must have felt really a princess during the coronation. I wonder if she’s asked her mum before if she could try on her tiaras. That is every little girl’s dream accessory

My daughter and her class all wore tiaras for graduation. being a conservatory, there was quite a variety of dress outside robe and mortarboard. One guy came dressed as Deadpool.

Stress, age, uncomfortable ride to The Abbey, rain starting, sheer irritation that things can never be perfect however much he tries.
Yet he was the only person I saw at the service giving a nod of acknowledgment to the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, the one thing all have to go around as you enter St Peter's. It is a powerful symbol of ultimate service, and the one place I bend the knee. I'm pretty sure the Queens bouquet is on that tombstone now at the King's request.
We all fail, especially when young and in relationships. We are all 'equal', you, Biden, Charles Windsor. We all deserve at the very least, a second chance. Decades after their arranged and failed marriages, Camilla and Charles are together and happy.
Perspectives vary.
I get the feeling we were all led by our Press to side with the prettier younger blonde against the big bad institution.I agree with Charles that his 'Family' needs to be slimmed down. However we must be aware of how he does so much for areas of the Arts that many ignorant politicians want to starve of funds.
And to those that would replace him, I ask, with what?
Would we end up with a popular voted in President Tony Blair, or Jimmy Carr, or President Diane Abbott? It would be another Macboatyface vote.Protestors were never going to be allowed to interfere with such an event, and those arrested were carrying means to secure themselves to objects and stop the procession. Effectively they were caught going armed and with intent to break the law. We've had people superglue themselves to roads in protest and its not an acceptable method of protest.
Neither republican nor royalist, I have to say the BBC did a fine job of covering a most entertaining event. The massed troops on the lawns of The Palace at the end was quite a sight, and well deserved by all of them, having been in the rain for hours.

Are you comfortable with recent tightening of the laws regarding protest? The Coronation chickens aside, it seems to me that the law’s didn’t really need to further restrict ‘anti social’ behavior. It seems to me there was already enough ways to keep people in their place.

I'm not at all comfortable, and neither are the police who have to 'interpret' and at times enforce the new laws while serving the people. The CC of Manchester was talking about it this morning.
Stop and search without suspicion! WTF?
As I understand a search without reasonable suspicion is only legal if approved by a senior officer (i.e. Inspector and above). Police can, on showing their warrant card, stop anyone to question.Thing is, you can't tolerate a handful of people 'locking on' and disrupting hundreds of thousands in their daily lives just because they disagree with the use of petrol/diesel engines, and want them banned immediately. Its like they have a childish mentality.
We are all aware of the problem, the engines are being phased out.
Tolerance and patience works both ways, and if these additional powers help police, ok. Not sure if they do.There are so many means of expressing opinion and acquiring support for change these days; no need to throw yourself in front of a racehorse.
The laws seem to be a knee jerk reaction, and a warning for folk with simplistic views of taking action, to work within our parliamentary system, free press etc. -

I think it’s high time for the current government to be kicked out. Incompetence and arrogance is a bad combination, although I guess Sunak is somewhat better than his predecessors.

There is something irritating about our current PM. I can't quite put my finger on it.
His physical appearance, his cockiness, his privileged upbringing showing, his flouting of the spirit of tax laws while Chancellor, his manner of speaking.
Maybe a bit of all of the above -

Agree! Who gave the authority to let Camilla be "Queen?" So, she would be next in line after Charles? At one time, didn't Elizabeth say that Charles wouldn't be King and that the title would go to William?

No. William is heir to Charles and if something happens to William then it passes to his children starting with young George. As distant to the Crown he is, Harry is even closer to the throne than Camilla. So is that debauched brother, Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

No, I don’t at all believe so. That’s not to say though that one of the several less than reputable British tabloids didn’t make it up and print it as truth.
