Based on a few assumptions and googling some data, this probably applies to just a couple dozen people.

That's a small universe of cruelty.

And displays the manifest pettiness of the move.

If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

The current situation is bad, and it is difficult to see how this makes it better.

All of politics sends a message, and messages are not always cruel. They can even be thoughtful. But this move is probably petty.

          Education is extremely important.

Punishing the children for the sins of their forbears is cruel, amirite?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

What DeSantis does with it may well affect his shot at the presidency. It could certainly affect my opinion.

How committed are DeSantis and Florida's legislature about punishing the DACA folks?

                What's next?
                No DACA teacher?
                No DACA EMT?
                No DACA firefighter?
                No DACA police officer?
No DACA doctor, nurse, public accountant, engineer, land surveyor, realtor ...
No DACA state-licensed trade person of any sort?
Fire all DACA people from state payroll?

And the root of all that is their nebulous status.
