McCarthy: Trump can’t win
-
-
Polls show Trump pretty even, even a bit ahead, with Biden.
But, it's early, and those are polls.
I think McCarthy's right.
-
I suspect he's right.
-
I hate to make any predictions. I was surprised he got the first nomination.
-
Too early.
Check the economy in about 16 months.
-
He couldn't beat Ms. Clinton either.
No way.
Impossible.
Can't happen.
-
So much can happen in the coming year - with the economy, world events, Biden's gaffability, Trump's legal issues, etc. While both candidates "should" win their primaries, it is not a safe bet on either side.
-
We focus so much on Biden’s age but remember Trump turns 77 in June, is morbidly obese, eats junk, and doesn’t exercise.
-
He golfs, but when you use a cart that’s not much in the way of exercise.
-
@jon-nyc he also shags porn stars. That sounds pretty energetic to me.
-
Not if yer doin' it right. If yer renting, she's doing the work.
-
But seriously, what are gonna do? Impress her?

And can riff for an hour, never consult his notes and has an opinion on every subject.
The Resident, when taking a question on a particular topic, has to have a score card with the question, who's asking it (complete with name pronunciation) and
who they're working for. He couldn't do a free-wheeling press conference at gunpoint. -
Trump’s hour-long rants are rather unhinged but everyone’s used to grading him on a curve. There’s no expectation that he will be coherent and consistent from one day to the next.

(In President Trumps defense (or any other President or high level person), it is very very normal to have a "cheat sheet". I have prepared a lot of such things with bullet points of what may be discussed.)

@taiwan_girl I may be wrong, but if I had to guess, those photos of "cheat sheets" that are (supposedly) in Trump's hands look like they were written by the sharpie-loving Trump himself, rather than a White House aide.
Here's some samples:
