Nate Silver is different from the likes of Tucker Carlson or Don Lemon, and I rarely associate Nate Silver with ABC News or Disney. (I suspect most of us just associate Nate Silver with FiveThirtyEight, which is owned by ABC News.) But Disney owns ABC News and is cutting headcount at the news division. Nate Silver, whatever his position was at ABC News, was also let go.

Interesting. In my mind he is 538.

Sounds like they’re going to get rid of the sports angle or at least move any data-driven sports journalism out from under the brand.

ESPN has been losing money for awhile...

I don’t know how much if any of his sports reporting would end up on ESPN. I would see it because I follow him on Twitter, but I never read any of it. It was all data driven analysis like his politics stuff.
