First, Fire Harvard's Administrators

Appearing in my Forbes summary e-mail this morning:
"Diversity" provosts and other paper pushers run up the cost of college—and make life miserable for students, says lawyer Harvey Silverglate. He thinks academia needs to clean house.
Silverglate, a long-time criminal defense attorney and vocal defender of campus freedoms, is campaigning for one of five open seats on Harvard University's Board of Overseers, which has considerable influence on how Harvard is run.

"If Harvard could rid itself of most of the bureaucrats, Silverglate says, it could cut the cost of attendance in half. "This administrative bloat raises tuition and fees," says Silverglate. Worst of the bunch, in his eyes: the "diversity and inclusion" staff that, seeking to justify their presence on campus, sniff out ways to turn disputes into bias incidents and create more contentiousness than they resolve."
