Good for the American stock market.

Go Biden! I am starting to warm to his policies.

He comes into office proposing another $1T in deficit spending. That doesn't even begin to address his social programs.

. . . also touts his long-standing promises to . . . repeal Republican-backed tax breaks for U.S. corporations that move jobs overseas.

Yeah - this has always been an interesting aspect of Trump's policy positions.

Democrats can out-protectionism and fiscal-spend the Republicans as a matter of philosophy and policy. It'll be easier to get democrat votes (Congress) behind those things as well.

The Republicans capitulated their fiscal-prudence stance this Presidential cycle (no-lip service even paid to the debt).

I wonder if he is saying that just to get elected.

That’s a pretty cynical way to think.

@Copper Everything they say is to get elected. The "lying" part is usually the fact that they have no practical way to accomplish what they're saying.

For something like this - it's pretty easy to put forward a plan to congress.

Sure. But how do you get it through the Senate?

Remember when Unions were the heart of the Democrat party.

@Mik Aside from justice reform, I don't think any 'major' legislation has gotten the full regular vote-load to pass. (Tax cuts were budget-reconciliation).

So - that's to say, this is a broader issue and congress simply doesn't work anymore.

Executive orders and supreme court FTW I guess!
